Day 57 – friends of other faiths
We have not yet got as far as the God of any actual religion, still less the God of that particular religion called Christianity. –C. S. LEWIS
Since I am a follower of Jesus, you can correctly assume that I think Christianity is preferable to the others. But I do so with a sense of respect for people of other faiths and with a tolerance of them that is sorely lacking in society today. Regarding the present issue, the existence of God, they are my friends. As fellow theists, we walk side by side as the first leg of our journey draws to a close.
I also want to make you aware that no evidence has yet been offered that would tend to favor one religion over another. Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and Christians agree with the main point of this book. They may use different quotations and arguments, but they come to the same conclusion. They all claim that a God or, in some cases, a group of several gods exists. Pertaining to the subject at hand, they are on the same side of the fence. They are theists. They are working in the same "field."
